Aspen Medical is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Supplier Performance Coordinator. The Supplier Performance Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the relationships between a company and its suppliers. Their responsibilities encompass ensuring that the company obtains optimal value from the goods and services procured from external vendors/ suppliers.
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery of quality products within budget constraints.
- Ensure items are received in full and on time.
- Review catalogues and samples provided by suppliers to determine which products align best with the hospital requirements.
- Assess product suitability, quality, and relevance to the needs.
- Actively network with suppliers, fostering professional relationships.
- Represent the Hospitals at forums and committees related to supplier management.
- Conduct supplier audits where able to review and measure compliance or request documented proof of requirements.
- Appropriately manage all documentation with the inventory system.
- Recommending appropriate actions for breaches committed by suppliers.
- Segmenting suppliers based on risk and value.
- Provide monthly reports to management on service levels, service failures, risk and outstanding orders.
- Actively engage with Third party logistics provider (Gibsons) on arrivals, customs requirements, and storage.
- Communicate and arrange meeting with Procurement team on orders placed and expected.
- Partake in Tender evaluation committees as required.
- Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and comply with instructions given in adhering to safe work procedures.
- Take reasonable care to ensure own safety and health and that of others and to abide by our duty of care provided for in the OHS policy.
- Any other reasonable duties delegated by management.
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or a combination of Business Administration and Management
- Professional certification and membership to a reputable procurement and supplies body is highly desirable.
- Minimum 5-7 years logic or supply chain experience, preferably in a health-related project, and including service procurements.
- Strong leadership, analytical and organisational skills; demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, assess priorities, and manage multiple activities with attention to detail, meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving capacity, with demonstrated ability for considerable analysis and sound judgment to find solutions in a complex environment with shifting and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills demonstrated by ability to interact professionally with team members stakeholders, clients and consultants.
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel spreadsheets, word processing, power point, and electronic mail).
