Aspen Medical International Team visits Lautoka and Ba Hospitals
A team of senior executives from Aspen Medical’s global head office and Middle East office visited Lautoka and Ba Hospitals this week to provide technical assistance and expertise with the progress of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in Fiji.
The six-member team is made up of Aspen Medical Chief Strategy Officer – Matthew Hughes, General Manager of Aspen Medical UAE – Vince Shields, Project Manager Advisory Services – Anita Grindlay, Senior Clinical Manager – Caroline Nash, Public Health Advisor – Mark Handby and Director Corporate Sustainability – Colin Macdonald.
Aspen Medical Fiji CEO, Annette Owttrim said the visiting team has provided strategic support during this transition phase at both Lautoka and Ba Hospitals.
“This is the high level of expertise that we can attract from our global office to assist us as we continue to make progress with the PPP. The international team is in Fiji for an official visit to review our processes and provide valuable support. Aspen Medical Fiji will continue to collaborate with our global office to allow us to elevate and improve efficiencies in our healthcare system,” Owttrim said.
“The talented team will take away some of the challenges that we are facing and provide solutions that will allow us to continue to work towards providing a robust healthcare system for the benefit of all Fijians. Aspen Medical has been managing both Lautoka and Ba Hospitals for over two months now, it has been an exciting journey for our entire team.”
Health Care (Fiji) Pte Limited, trading as Aspen Medical, commenced managing Lautoka Hospital from 1 April 2022, and Ba Hospital from 9 April 2022 as part of the company’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Fijian Government.
Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a Public-Private Partnership company formed between the Fiji National Provident Fund and Aspen Medical to manage Lautoka Hospital and Ba Hospital under a contract with the Government of Fiji.
