Aspen Medical to pursue the Golden Seal of Approval from Joint Commission International

The Aspen Medical leadership, including Heads of Departments at Ba and
Lautoka Public Hospitals attended an intensive 4-day training session with
trainers from the USA to assist in pursuing accreditation with the Joint
Commission International (JCI).

JCI helps thousands of healthcare organisations around the globe with quality
improvement and patient safety, leading to better patient outcomes,
enhanced operational productivity and greater patient and staff satisfaction.
Aspen Medical Chief Executive Officer Mr Gavin Whiteside said, “Achieving
the Golden Seal of Approval from JCI will set us apart from all other
healthcare providers locally and in the South Pacific.

“There are a number of international standards that we will have to meet, JCI
accreditation will first be completed at Ba Public Hospital, followed by
Lautoka in late 2028.”

He added, “Aspen Medical is determined to deliver world-class healthcare
services to the people of Fiji, and this is an important step in that process”.
