Description

Aspen Medical is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the Physiotherapist position. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Physiotherapy Business Plan in accordance with the Operational Plan, Physiotherapy Strategic Plan and will recommend and finalize physiotherapy clinical policies to ensure standardized practice. The post will manage and administer the department, identify specialized areas, need for up skilling, and enforce and sustain all policies on technical services. 

The roles and responsibilities of this position include: 

  • Develop, and monitor the implementation of the Business Plan for physiotherapy.  
  • Manage the daily operations of the department in accordance with standard procedures, practices and policies within agreed timelines.  
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff for continuous professional development.  
  • Manage staff performance in accordance with standard performance assessment guidelines 
  • Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and comply with instructions given in adhering to safe work procedures. 
  • Take reasonable care to ensure own safety and health and that of others and to abide by our duty of care provided for in the OHS policy.  
  • Any other reasonable duties delegated by management.  

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Physiotherapy with at least 8 years’ proven experience in the field of physiotherapy, with 3 years at a supervisory level. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of International conventional physiotherapy practice, OHS and Labour regulations and physiotherapy standards of practice.  
  • Proven experience in supervising and assessing performance of staff 
  • Ability to give technical and clinical advice to customers and stakeholders on physiotherapy issues.  
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively consult with others to develop sound plans, internal policies and procedures.  
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with an attention for detail  
  • Capacity to utilise computer programs to support the operations of a complex organisation.  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate staff at different levels and backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment  
  • Service oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the operational / corporate environment of the organisation 

 Desired 

  • Knowledge of the Health Services Industry.
