Finance Officer – Payroll

Description

Aspen Medical is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Finance Officer – Payroll. ​​This position will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll and resolving staff issues. This role reports to the Financial Controller and will be based in Lautoka, Fiji.​ 

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:

• ​​​Verification of staff hours and processing of timely and acrruate pays 

• ​Ensure monthly lodgement and payments of PAYE and SRT 

• ​Ensure monthly lodgement and payment of FNPF 

• ​Fiji National University Levy and Fringe Benefit Tax assessment and payment 

• ​Respond to enquiries from employees related to timesheet and payroll issues 

• ​Updating payroll records by reviewing and entering changes in relation to changes in employee details 

• ​Assist in setting up new employee in the payroll and benefits system including checking, filing and scanning of payroll records as per requirement 

• ​Proper filing and record keeping of pay files and employee pay records 

• ​Performing monthly payroll and identifying and resolving discrepancies and initiating journal entries 

• ​Assisting with internal and external audits 

• Any other reasonable duties delegated by management

Experience and Qualifications Required

Essential

• ​​​Diploma / Degree in Accounting and Financial Management 

• ​At least 3 years relevant experience 

• ​Ability to multi-task and work under minimum supervision 

• ​Possess strong Microsoft Office Excel skills  

• ​Ability to work extra hours when required 

Desired: 

• ​​​Knowledge of the Health Industry. 

• ​Prior experience of working with Payroll System​​
