Aspen Medical Partners with Ronald McDonald House Charities

Aspen Medical has launched the Hospitality Cart Program with Ronald McDonald House Charities Fiji (RMHC) at the Lautoka Hospital.

The Hospitality Cart Program is designed to provide comprehensive support to families with seriously ill children admitted to the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The hospitality cart will provide a range of essential items, including hygiene packs, water, snacks, activity books and puzzles. All these items are provided free of charge to families, ensuring they can focus on their child’s health without having to leave the ward and purchase them.

Aspen Medical’s CEO in Fiji, Gavin Whiteside, said, “This is a fantastic program, which is a first in Fiji, and will help the families of our young patients during their time at Lautoka Hospital. Dealing with an ill child can be very stressful, and we are privileged to be able to work with RMHC to offer some relief to the families of our most vulnerable, our children.”

This is RMHC Fiji’s third and first program for the Lautoka Hospital. RMHC Fiji members and volunteers will operate the cart at least three times weekly within the paediatric wards.
