Description

Aspen Medical is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Associate Networks Administrator. This position involves maintaining the IT infrastructure of HCF, monitoring core server and network performance metrics, managing backups, user support and training, creating and maintaining How-To Guides for users, performing system updates and patching.

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, implement corrective action procedures and/or escalate to other technical resources as appropriate
  • Maintain procedures and policies relating to access to IT systems and resources
  • Monitor systems for up-time and take corrective action where required
  • Assist in the proactive maintenance of the ICT environment to ensure maximum uptime and service availability.
  • Removing malware and other security threats
  • Monitoring computer systems and backups.
  • Conduct scheduled system checks and perform maintenance in accordance with the scheduled outage window, which may involve after-hours and weekend work
  • Design and maintain campus, data‑centre, WAN/SD‑WAN, wireless and internet edge architectures.
  • Define IP addressing, routing, segmentation, and configuration standards.
  • Engineer and operate Layer 2/3 switching and routing.
  • Troubleshoot complex faults including STP, routing flaps, MTU and asymmetric routing.
  • Design VLANs for clinical, admin, guest and infrastructure networks.
  • Implement inter‑VLAN routing, ACLs and NAC/802.1X where applicable.
  • Design and maintain DMZ environments.
  • Manage firewall rules, NAT, logging and access controls.
  • Engineer SD‑WAN and WAN connectivity.
  • Liaise with ISPs and vendors for fault resolution
  • Manage enterprise wireless including SSIDs, authentication and roaming.
  • Configure and support L4/L7 load balancers, health checks and failover.
  • Implement monitoring, lead incident response and root cause analysis
  • Support SAN/NAS connectivity and replication traffic.
  • Execute controlled changes, support DR testing and maintain documentation.
  • Manage and maintain MPLS links
  • Experience in VMware and vCenter deployment
  • Experienced with Server 2022 /2025 Domain Controller, Active Directory, File Server, DNS, and Remote Gateway server
  • Experience with Linux OS such as Debian and Ubuntu

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science
  • Five to seven years’ experience in mid-to-large-sized organisational networks
  • A+, Network+, CCNA will be advantageous
  • Enterprise switching, routing and VLAN experience
  • Experience in Active Directory, Microsoft 365 Suite, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and Routing.
  • DMZ and perimeter network design experience.
  • Firewall, NAT, VPN and security controls knowledge.
  • WAN / SD‑WAN operational experience.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Strong attention to detail, well-developed planning, organisational, problem-solving skills and capable of working under pressure
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people with differing skill levels

Desired

  • Healthcare or regulated environment experience
  • Strong practical understanding of enterprise network design and operations, including campus, data‑centre, WAN/SD‑WAN, wireless, internet edge, and DMZ architectures.
  • Experience with MPLS, WAN, and SD‑WAN connectivity, including liaison with ISPs and vendors for fault resolution and service improvements
  • Experience with backup administration, networking concepts such as VLANs, routing and firewall administration
  • Exposure to load balancing technologies (L4/L7), including health checks, failover, and high‑availability configurations.
  • Experience with backup systems: Backup and Bridgehead
