Description

Aspen Medical is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Cleaner.  The Cleaner is responsible for the provision of effective cleaning services at the Hospital and its facilities. 

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:

• ​General upkeep and cleanliness of the hospital and facilities 

• ​Ability to vacuum, polish, mop, clean and sanitize delegated work area 

• ​Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste 

• ​Ability to monitor cleaning supplies and requisite as needed 

• ​Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements 

• ​Maintaining a safe and clean working environment ​ 

• Participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace and comply with instructions given in adhering to safe work procedures. 

• Take reasonable care to ensure own safety and health and that of others and to abide by our duty of care provided for in the OHS policy.  

• Any other reasonable duties delegated by management.  

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Prior experience as a cleaner is advantageous  

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 

• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment and general cleanliness & hygiene procedures 

• Experience in the proper disposal of clinical and kitchen waste 

• A basic understanding of occupational health and safety at the workplace 

• Ability to plan and organize work with an attention for detail while carrying duties 

• Good communication skills both verbal and written 

• Ability to work with minimum supervision and to meet tight deadlines 

• Customer focused approach with commitment to supporting the operational goals of the organization 

Desired 

• Knowledge of the Health Industry
